I joined a group of cross-party MPs arguing the case for a debate on compensation for victims of Libyan-sponsored IRA terrorism.
For a number of years the IRA received significant support to carry out their attacks from the Gadhafi regime in Libya. One of those attacks included the 1996 Canary Wharf bombing.
We asked the Backbench Business Committee to grant us a debate in the House of Commons and ask the government why, unlike victims from other European countries and America, British citizens have not been awarded compensation.
